Elevated Cardiovascular Risks: Postpartum Hypertension

In recognition of May being Preeclampsia Awareness Month, host Komkwuan “Kwuan” Paruchabutr, DNP, FNP-BC, WHNP-BC, CNM, FACNM, FNAP, FAAN, joins Catherine Nadeau, PhD, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, to discuss the increased cardiovascular risks postpartum patients may experience if they had a hypertensive pregnancy. Together, they explore how nurse practitioners champion transitional care in the postpartum period, how preeclampsia in pregnancy impacts cardiovascular health, and how to best support historically underserved populations at an increased risk.
